MPs apprise NF Rly GM of public grievances

GUWAHATI, Sept 14 - The General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Sanjive Roy held a discussion with Members of Parliament (MPs) falling under the jurisdiction of Tinsukia Division of the zone on Thursday.

The discussion was held at the conference hall of the Divisional Railway Manager�s office at Tinsukia. It was attended by Dibrugarh MP Rameswar Teli, Arunachal East MP Ninong Ering and representatives of other MPs.

During the discussion, Teli called for early completion of the Lekhapani-Jairampur proposed railway line, reopening of the Bogapani Railway Station, repairing of the Godapani bridge, revision in timings of the DEMU train between Tinsukia and Dibrugarh, beautification of the Ledo Railway Station, and for starting of Shatabdi service and Dibrugarh-Silchar Express train from Tinsukia for the benefit of the people of the vast area.

Ering, on his part, called for providing proper compensation to landowners whose land will be taken for construction of the new line from Murkongselek to Pasighat.

Ram Bahadur Rai, Divisional Railway Manager of Tinsukia, gave a presentation on the activities and performance of the Division.
