TURA, April 9 - Amid heavy downpour, the movement of polling personnel to the Tura Parliamentary (ST) constituency and the Selsella (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency has got under way. Polling personnel left for 417 polling stations in the 11 Assembly segments under the West Garo Hills district today on the first day of movement after collecting necessary materials from the Deputy Commissioner�s office premises.
The remaining polling officials for the 64 polling stations will leave for their respective destinations located closer to the district headquarters tomorrow morning.
It may be mentioned that the Tura Parliamentary seat has the highest number of Assembly constituencies with a total of 481 polling stations in the district.
