By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, May 3 - The Nagaland Government on Sunday said that movement of people and vehicles, except those exempted from the lockdown restrictions, would not be permitted and the inter-State borders would remain sealed.

Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner Sentiyanger Imchen directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure strict compliance of the order.

The order followed de-sealing of the inter-State borders by the Assam Government on Saturday to allow stranded people of the State to return.

Imchen said according to an order by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy on Saturday the State is still under lockdown and the States boundaries are yet to be de-sealed.

According to reports, hundreds of people from other States stranded in Dimapur have applied for fitness certificates from the district surveillance unit for COVID-19 to return to their respective States after the Assam Government opened its borders.
