GUWAHATI, April 1 � Lakshmikanta Das Memorial Kalabhumi conducted its 103rd Moumel in collaboration with Organic Hub, Juripar. The programme among school � going students has been getting good response as it has provided a platform to the young boys and girls to showcase their talent.
The Moumel, which started at 2 pm, featured contests and cultural function and also a session that gave an opportunity to the participants and their guardians to share their experiences and expectations. The students shared their experiences in school, talked about their friends and hobbies and about their future plans. On the other hand, the parents expressed their opinion about the Moumel, the present education scenario and whether it has succeeded in fulfilling the expectations of the students.
The programme began with an art competition that was followed by an extempore speech competition and concluded with a cultural function.
Artist Madhusudhan Das who conducted the programme said that the Moumel has evoked positive response even from the parents who are keen to involve their children in extracurricular activities.
�Today�s parents are very much interested to get their children involved in extracurricular activities and our programme has given the opportunity to inculcate the competitive spirit in the students,� said Das.
It needs to be mentioned here that the Moumel is organized on the last Sunday of every month.
