Mosque bodies urge Markaz returnees to reveal all details

GUWAHATI, April 5 - The Masjid Committees of Guwahati today appealed to the people who came from the Nizamuddin event recently to come forward and disclose their details.

The Lakhtokia 2 No. Masjid Committee along with the Lakhtokia 1 No. Masjid Committee, Rajdhani Masjid Committee, Kamarpatty Masjid Committee, Machkhowa Masjid Committee and Fancy Bazar Masjid Committee organised a press meet here today and expressed grave concern over the present situation.

Syed Aminul Alom, president of the Lakhtokia 2 No. Masjid Committee, said, �We urged the individuals who attended the Jamaat congregation to call helpline number and contact health workers so that their samples could be tested and their contacts traced,� adding, �if they do not reveal their identity immediately, it will affect their family members, relatives and so on.�

Praising State Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Alom said some people are spreading fake news on the social media and trying to create a panic situation in the State. He urged upon the public not to pay attention to rumours and fake news.
