More than four hundred people including women of different communities and tribes joined the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on January 24 at Fatasil-Ganeshpara in Assam's Azara in the presence of local MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita.
Joining the AGP, the people said that they were satisfied and attracted to the developmental works done by MLA Kalita in their constituency.
The function held on the occasion was also attended by former Councillor Bhupen Thakuria, central secretary of Asom Yuva Parishad (AYP) Susanta Dev Choudhury, President of AYP Guwahati city community Dipankar Das, Nur Islam of Guwahati Yuva Parisad, Rasan Jha of Asom ChatraParishad among others.
