More suspended trains to resume

GUWAHATI, Sept 17 - Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will resume services of a few more long-distance trains which had been suspended in August after rail links from the NFR zone to the rest of the country had got snapped due to heavy floods in eastern Bihar.

�Consequent upon the issuance of fitness certificate with speed restriction of 10 km per hour for running of passenger trains through the flood-affected �down� line portion between Telta and Sudhani stations under Katihar Division of NFR, some more trains are proposed to be restored,� said an official.

�These trains are in addition to trains like Rajdhani Express, NE Express, Kamrup Express, Kanchanjungha Express, Saraighat Express, Guwahati-Secunderabad Express, Avadh Assam Express, Capital Express, Kamakhya-Gandhidham Express, and the Guwahati-Okha Dwarka Express whose services have been restored after repair of up line approach of bridge no 133 between Telta and Sudhani stations has been carried out,� said the official.
