TURA, June 13 - Acting on a tip off, East Garo Hills (EGH) police today made another huge recovery of hidden arms and ammunition in the district. The recovery is the eighth over the past three months.

The recovery today took place in Dorenkigre village, a long time haunt of Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) and its now deceased commander in chief Sohan D Shira.

The arms and explosives recovered today included 2 two inch mortars, 2 RPG with cover, one mortar shell, one RPG launcher, one AK rifle, one HK 5.56 mm assault rifle, 12 pistol magazines, assorted ammunition, and 55 remote bomb circuits.
