DIBRUGARH, Sept 4 - People of Moranhat town observed total shutdown today in protest against putting up of anti-Assamese posters at different places of the town yesterday by some unidentified miscreants.
The miscreants had reportedly made some anti-Assamese remarks through the posters. The posters mentioned that the campaign was being carried out by an organisation abbreviated as �ABSS,� though no one was aware of any such organisation.
Vehicles were allowed to ply on the roads, but business establishments remained shut from dawn to dusk.
