GANGTOK, Oct 17 - Denjong Lhade (an association of monks) today threatened to gherao the office of Sikkim Chief Secretary at any time demanding permission for the early visit of Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje to
the State.
This was stated in a statement by Chewang Lama, Coordinator of Denjong Lhade on the occassion of the 100th day of the relay hunger strike by monks in support of their demand. which has not received any response from the Central and State Governments.
Earlier, Denjong Lhade has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary on September 13 in this connection.
