SIVASAGAR, Aug 7 - Dr Moidul Islam Bora Sahitya Award instituted after the first doctorate of Assam and the former VC of Dhaka University, Dr Moidul Islam Bora, will be conferred on noted litterateur Nanda Singh Borkola for the year 2015.
Instituted in the year 2011, this award is given away jointly by the Arunudoy Sahitya Sabha and Dr Moidul Islam Bora Smriti Rakhya Samiti.
Nanda Singh Borkola, is posted in Karbi Anglong as an Additional Superintendent of Police. He has made immense contributions in the field of litterature by his writings like Sundar Samayar Assam, Dusakut Seujia Barakhun, Korbat Junakor Hamadal, Akou Aranyar Gaon, Haria Paror Anyanya etc. The award will be conferred at a function at Rangpur Jyoti Club in Sivasagar on September 22 next.
