JORABAT, Sept 2 - Ex-minister and sitting MLA of Dispur LAC Akon Bora today visited Jorabat Sankardevnagar under Amerigog NC revenue village, to take stock of the general problems plaguing the area.
A meeting held on the occasion, discussed various issues like road construction, water supply project and land patta allocation to the local people.
Bora�s close aide and veteran Congressman from the area Ramesh Das who did most of the talking at the meeting, lambasted Himanta Biswa Sarma for joining the BJP.
Das said that even though the Congress could not ensure full prosperity of all, at least the people were happy with its developmental activities. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had cheated the people of Assam by cutting Central funds to the State.
