Modi addresses election rally in Imphal

IMPHAL, April 7 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that Manipur and North East are becoming the centre of the country�s Act East policy.

Addressing an election rally here today, the Prime Minister said that the whole North East is in the development mainstream and connectivity is moving forward with people�s support and blessing.

Stating that the people of Manipur are football champions including the Chief Minister N Biren Singh, he said the time has come to show Congress the �red card� in the political game.

Speaking about his government�s achievements, he said that one lakh youths including 60,000 females were given benefits under the Mudra Yojana, in Manipur. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh gave a brief welcome note during the meeting. BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda, Ministers, MLAs and workers also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Communist Party of India national secretary and Rajya Sabha MP D Raja speaking at an election rally for party candidate Dr M Nara here on Sunday, accused the BJP-led Government of indulging in �anti-people� activities and called for saving the nation by ousting the Modi Government.
