By Correspondent

IMPHAL, Oct 24 - A mobile air dispensary will soon be launched in the Northeastern region.

This was conveyed by DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh while briefing media persons after a meeting with State Government officials here on Monday.

We are working on the mobile air dispensary in consultation with Union Health Ministry as the response from the Civil Aviation Ministry is encouraging, said Singh. This will enhance the delivery of health care services in the remote and faraway places of the North East.

Stating that this will be a model for remote places in the rest of the country, the DoNER Minister also informed that his Ministry is sorting out certain development activities in association with Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports for the establishment of the Sports University in Manipur.

Replying to a question on the revival of Imphal-Silchar air service, the Union Minister said that the government is seriously considering the proposal.
