MM Choudhury�s 109th birth anniversary observed

GUWAHATI, April 14 - The 109th birth anniversary of Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, former Chief Minister of Assam and Ex- Governor of Punjab was observed with a brief function at the premises of Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital here at Panbazar today in the presence of a large gathering, a press release stated.

The function started with ceremonial lighting of an earthen lamp by Dr Madhab Rajbongshi, Superintendent of MMC Hospital in front of the statue of Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, which was recently installed by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority in the premises of the hospital.

Floral tributes were also paid by Dr Rajbongshi, Sourindra Mohan Choudhury, i.e., eldest son of Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, besides other family members of Choudhury and all the staff of MMC Hospital.

In his brief speech, Dr Ranbongshi thanked the family members of MM Choudhury for their cooperation and assured to extend all possible help and cooperation from the management of MMC Hospital in future for observance of the birth and death anniversaries of the illustrious son of Assam.

Dipali Thakuria, niece of MM Choudhury spoke a few words and extended her thanks to the authority and staff of MMC Hospital for their kind cooperation in making the function a success.
