KARIMGANJ, June 20 � Mission Ranjan Das, MLA, North Karimganj and BJP leader visited the flood-affected areas of North Karimganj and Nilambazar Revenue Circle recently and held discussion with the marooned people. He assured them he would arrange supply of foodstuffs for them.
Later, Das met Dr Angamuthu, DC, Karimganj and apprised him of the overall flood scenario in North Karimganj. He requested the DC to distribute foodstuffs among the marooned people. The MLA also sent a fax to the Chief Secretary in this regard.
The Karimganj district BJP committee has constituted a relief committee at the LAC level. The committee will prepare a list of affected people and later this list will be submitted to the district administration for sanction of relief.
