AIZAWL, Dec 6 - Twenty-one persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Mizoram today, taking the total number of cases to 3,934.
The fresh cases include two Border Security Force jawans.
The new cases were detected from 1,144 samples tested across the State in the last 24 hours, an official statement said.
Among the new cases, a policeman, who was recently discharged from a COVID-19 Care Centre after testing negative, contracted the virus for the second time.
The number of active cases in the State now stands at 220 while 3,708 patients have recovered from the disease, pushing the State�s recovery rate to 94.25 per cent.
So far, six people have died due to COVID-19 and the fatality rate in the State is currently at 0.16 per cent.
