AIZAWL, Oct 25 - Mizoram will host the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup and Grand Festival at Serchhip from February 10 to 16 next year. About 130 paragliders and 20 officials from different countries are expected to participate in the event.
Mizoram Sports Minister Robert Romawia Royte told reporters at Serchhip town today that apart from the paragliding world cup, the Mizoram State Games will also be held in Aizawl from December 9 to 13. He said that various steps are being taken to hold the State Games successfully.
�A State-level organising committee has been formed and a sum of Rs 150 lakh has been allotted for the State Games. More funds will be provided, if required. All constituencies will be given Rs 50,000 each to prepare for the games,� he said.
