Mizoram tally touches 482

AIZAWL, Aug 3 - With 14 more people, including 12 BSF personnel, testing positive, Mizoram�s tally of COVID-19 today climbed to 482.

From 28 samples tested at Lunglei Civil Hospital�s Truenat RT-PCR laboratory on Sunday, 12 persons belonging to the BSF were confirmed to be positive.

Aged between 23 to 45, the BSF men who returned from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Leh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Odisha, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand, were under quarantine at 131 Bn BSF camp at Melte, Lunglei in southern Mizoram.

Meanwhile, two fresh cases were detected from Rapid Antigen Test in Aizawl on Sunday. Aged 30 and 44, the duo returned from Bihar and Delhi and were under institutional quarantine.

Meanwhile, eight recovered patients were discharged today.

After two male patients were discharged from Champhai district�s DCHC, six persons, including two AR personnel, one Armyman, one NDRF jawan and two civilians, were discharged from Thenzawl�s Ayush Hospital.

Of the total 482 cases in Mizoram, 216 are active, 266 are discharged and one is a migrated case.

CrPC 144 promulgated: Meanwhile, the Aizawl district magistrate today imposed Cr PC 144 and has thus prohibited assembly of more than five people, a day after at least four localities here declared complete lockdown in their areas in fear of community spread of the novel coronavirus.
