AIZAWL, Dec 15 - Nine new cases of the novel coronavirus today took Mizoram�s tally to 4,049. The nine new cases were detected after testing of 1,152 samples at the Zoram Medical College RT-PCR laboratory here and TrueNat laboratories of district hospitals as well as through rapid antigen tests in different districts.
Of the nine cases, six were reported from Aizawl district, three from Lawngtlai district and one from Lunglei district.
Three of the new patients, including one CRPF personnel and one BSF personnel, had returned from outside the State, while the rest six patients were locally infected.
The active cases in Mizoram today stood at 173, while 3,869 people have recovered from the disease so far. The State has reported seven COVID-19 fatalities till date. � Correspondent
