Mizoram reports 30 new cases

AIZAWL, Sept 27 - Thirty fresh infections of novel coronavirus in Mizoram took the state�s virus count to 1,865 today.

An official statement said a total of 1,802 samples were tested during the last 24 hours out of which 30 were confirmed to be positive for coronavirus. From Zoram Medical College laboratory, 23 new cases, including 10 BSF personnel, were detected. The BSF personnel are returnees who were placed in quarantine facility. The remaining 13 civilians contracted the virus from contact with positive persons, the source said. From Truenat laboratory, four cases, including two BSF personnel, were detected while three cases were detected from Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

Of the total 1,865 cases in Mizoram, 549 are active while 1,316 people have recovered from the disease. The State has two migrated cases and no fatality yet.
