NEW DELHI, Sept 22 - Mizoram MP K Vanlalvena has urged the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the National Disaster Management Authority to send an investigation agency to Mizoram to probe the frequent incidences of earthquake in his State.
The MP made a Special Mention in the Rajya Sabha, urging the Centre to give compensation to victims, provide adequate shelter to them and provide adequate food materials.
Vanlalvena said that massive earthquakes have occurred during the current year. At Champhai and parts of Serchhip district, earthquakes have been recurring.
