Mizoram House pays tributes to Jayalalitha and 2 former MLAs

AIZAWL, March 15 - Mizoram Assembly today paid rich tributes to late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha Jayaram and two other former MLAs of the State C Lalruata and Zosiama Pachuau.

House Leader Lal Thanhawla made obituary references to the three departed leaders and recalled the great services rendered by them as politicians. Paying a rich tribute to Jayalalitha, who died on December 5 last year, State Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla said her sudden demise was a great loss for not only the people of Tamil Nadu but for the entire nation.

The Assembly also paid rich tributes to former two legislators C Lalruata, who died on January 6 last and Zosiama Pachuau, who died of heart disorder on Janaury 24 this year.

Lal Thanhawla in his obituary reference praised the two leaders as great leaders and upright politicians. Pachuau was the former Education Minister for a term since 1993 while Lalruata was one of the youngest legislators elected in 1972 at the age of 27.
