AIZAWL, June 6 - Mizoram Home Minister Lalchamliana on Wednesday visited police border outposts at Zophai along the Assam-Mizoram border. This is the area where tension flared up from time to time, following a border dispute between the two neighbouring States.

The Home Minister interacted with police personnel posted in the border outposts and lent ears to their problems. Their problems included unlivable condition of the barracks, poor water and power supply and insufficiency of vehicles.

Lalchamliana also visited a mosque at the border area where a blast occurred recently. Lalchamliana also visited the paddy fields of first Mizoram Chief Minister Ch Chhunga at Zophai on which Mizo Zirlai Pawl (Mizorams apex students body) has vowed to build a shed to claim ownership of the land.
