Mizoram Govt to dole out cash to successful candidates

AIZAWL, March 9 - In a move to encourage students to join Central services and other State services, Mizoram Government has decided to dole out cash incentive award to students, who successfully cleared competitive examinations under Central and State Governments.

This was announced by the newly appointed Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) chairman, Joseph Lalhimpuia during a press conference here recently.

Lalhlimpuia said that the State Government will give a cash incentive of Rs 50,000 to any candidate from Mizoram who cleared Civil Service (prelims), Combined Medical Services Examination, Indian Engineering Services Examination and other services and also Rs 1 lakh to those who successfully cleared Civil Service (Main) examination, Combined Defence Services examination, NDA and NA examination. He said the move is conceived to encourage students and educated youths to join Central services and State services.

He added that Rs 30 lakh and Rs 80 lakh have been allocated under Revised Estimate (RE) and New Economic Development Policy (NEDP) respectively for the purpose.
