AIZAWL, April 23 - Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla has ordered removal of beacon from his official car.
The CM�s directive in this regard comes days after the Union Cabinet decided to ban use of beacon lights atop vehicles of dignitaries and government officials from May 1.
Lal Thanhawla said that there should be no place for VIP culture in a democracy, official sources said.
Meanwhile, State Chief Secretary Lalmalsawma said that order would be issued after receiving instruction from the Centre. � PTI
