AIZAWL, April 7 - Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla who is presently on a tour to Myanmar was received with a warm welcome by fellow Mizos there. He, along with his wife, yesterday visited Tahan city, Wesley Hospital and Kalay University.
When CM reached Kalemyo from Yangon, they were accorded a warm welcome by a large number of Mizos at the airport. From Kalemyo, they proceeded to Tahan where they visited Kalay University, There they were received by Prof Than Win, Rector and other professors, most of whom are hill-tribe people.
The University professors were happy and interested over the wish of CM Hawla to have a joint venture between Kalay University and Mizoram University.
The Chief Minister also visited Wesley Hospital. Hawla said that though inadequate as per the request of the hospital leaders, he would look for ways by which cooperation may be had with specialists from Mizoram.
