AIZAWL, March 20 - Mizoram Assembly on Friday unanimously adopted a private member�s resolution moved by T Sangkunga of ruling Congress seeking a separate Mizoram cadre for All India Services.

The resolution said that concerted efforts should be made for Mizoram to have a separate cadre of the All India Services.

Cutting across party lines, members of the State Assembly supported the private member�s resolution and narrated that successive governments had appealed to the Centre to create separate cadre for Mizoram for all India services.

All India Service officers in the State were mainly from Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre. � PTI
