Miyungma Daogah Waterfall included in Dima Hasao tourism map

HAFLONG, Sept 22 - In continuation of exploring new tourist destinations in Dima Hasao, the �Miyungma Daogah Waterfall� at Umrangso (29 kilo), another beautiful waterfall was added to the tourism map of Dima Hasao after being ceremonially inaugurated by Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, NC Hills Autonomous Council on Sunday. The inaugural function was attended by the Chairperson, Ranu Langthasa, Executive Members Biswasjit Daulagupu, Samuel Changsan, L Darnei, Golonjo Thaosen, Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding, Nojit Kemprai, Projit Hohai, Bijit Langthasa of NCHAC while Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council attended as the chief guest.

Development of the easy to approach and beautiful waterfall was one of the initiatives of NCHAC and was done by the Forest & Environment department of the district in association with Tourism Department. The surrounding area of the waterfall was developed in a record period of only 25 days.

In this connection, a well-attended meeting was also held maintaining Covid protocols wherein speakers like EM Samuel Changsan, EM L. Darnei, EM Ngamrothang Hmar and MACs like Monjit Naiding, Nojit Kemprai spoke on the views of CEM Gorlosa for the development of the district and its people and to make this district one of the best districts of Assam in all spheres be it tourism, sports, arts and culture.

Gorlosa in his speech said no one can stop him from making Dima Hasao, a place to be reckoned for its natural beauty and its multi-talented people. M. Tungnung, Chief Conservator of Forest accorded a hearty welcome to the guests and also explained the objectives of developing the waterfall as a tourist spot.
