NAGAON, Nov 30 - Mission Tejasvi was completed in Nagaon district with total success. The main aim of this programme was to fight against shortage of blood mainly of children in the age group 6 months to 5 years, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
Iron-folic acid syrup and tablets were provided to 84% of the targeted children and 100% of targeted women in the district suffering from anemia.
Before the month-long mission began, the district Health department took a number of steps to create awareness among the people. ASHA and ANM workers extended their helping held for the success of this mission.
