Missing kids under care of Missionaries of Charity

GUWAHATI, June 27 - A missing child was handed over to the Govt Children Home by Fatasil Ambari police on June 11 and at present the child is staying under the care of the Missionaries of Charity, Lankeshwar. The child, identified as Munna Gour (11), is mildly mentally retarded.

Another missing boy, who was handed over by Fatasil Ambari police to Childline Kamrup (M), is staying at the Missionaries of Charity since April 5 under the written order of CWC Kamrup (M). The child, also an 11-year-old, Vinod (given name), is speech and hearing impaired and mildly mentally retarded as well.

Another missing child, transferred from Snehalaya, Dhirenpara to the Missionaries of Charity on April 29, is currently staying there. The child (12), Bikash (given name), too, is mentally retarded mildly, besides being physically challenged. The Missionaries of Charity, in a statement, has appealed to people who can recognise these children and know the address/family to contact its office.
