GUWAHATI, Jan 30 The 163 answer sheets of semester three students of Education department of Arya Vidyapeeth College which went missing yesterday from the possession of a college teacher, were reportedly found today at a tea stall in Bhutnath area.

According to Dr Dhrubjyoti Choudhury, controller of examinations, Gauhati University, the college principal informed about the recovery of the answer scripts that were sold out as scraps to the tea stall.

Meanwhile, Dr Karabi Kar of Arya Vidyapeeth College, from whose possession the booklets were lost, has been placed under suspension and an inquiry has been initiated against her.

Although Dr Kar was supposed to check the answer sheets under the supervision of the Principalin the college premises itself under the newly-introduced zone system, she took the answer sheets to her home from where the sheets went missing.

The recovered booklets would shortly be submitted to the examination committee and final decision regarding it would be taken in a meeting to be held on February 6, added Choudhury.
