Mising Agom Kebang conference from today

SILAPATHAR, Jan 6 - The Mising Agom Kebang�s (MAK- Mising Sahitya Sabha) 22nd general conference will be held with a four-day-long programme form tomorrow at the Suniram Basing Lotta at Goroimari, Bhimpora under Lakhimpur district.

On the first day, Lakhimpur DC, Debeswar Malakar will inaugurate the Suniram Basing Lotta after delegates� registration. The Ragunath Pamegam Memorial delegates� camp will inaugurated by the president of the reception committee Naba Kumar Doley while the Tuleswar Chengiya memorial delegate session will be inaugurated by Progress Medok, executive president of the reception committee.

Tomorrow, the scientist Mukul Kuli memorial book fair and Bhadreswar Kaman memorial handloom textile fair will be inaugurated by Biju Pegu, EC of MAC and Anil Payeng, general member of the Mising Autonomous Council respectively.

On the second day, the flag of the Mising Agom Kebang (MAK) will be hoisted by the president of the MAK, Jawahar Jyoti Kuli and swahid tarpan will be done by the vice-president of MAK, Gobin Taid. Boxiram Morang Memorial spot writing Mising Poem competition will also be held on the occasion.

The book release session will be led by a former secretary of the MAK, Harendra Nath Doley. The seminar �Globalization and Mising Language� will be presided over by a former president of MAK, Dr Basanta Kumar Doley. Dr Bhim Kanta Baruah, Director of Centre for Studies of Language, Dibrugarh University will inaugurate the programme.

On the third day, the former president of the MAK, Dr Ghana Kanta Laghachu will release the souvenir Ane Abonari while Abonori Kerang will be inaugurated by senior journalist, Sapun Kumar Dutta. A quiz completion will also be held on the occasion.

The first open session will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, Dr Tamo Mibang. Several dignitaries from different sahitya sabha units of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will attend as guests. The poets� meet will be inaugurated by the former secretary of MAK Jagannath Pegu, while the programme will be conducted by the former secretary of MAK, Indeswar Pegu.

On the fourth day, the second open session will be inaugurated by Dr Bidyaswar Doley, former president of the MAK, while the president of the MAK , Jawahar Jyoti Kuli will preside over the open session.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will attend as the chief guest in the open session. Union Minister of Human Resource Development Smriti Irani, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, chief of MAC Dr Ranoj Pegu, Agom Migang Tabu Ram Taid, Agom Migang Nahendra Padun along several ministers, MLA of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will attend as guests. In the morning, a colourful cultural procession will be attended by Miss Ethnic- 2015 Monisha Doley, and will be flagged off by Ekalybho Gam, former president of Mising Dirbi Kebang.
