SILCHAR, April 14: The body of a minor boy has been recovered by SDRF divers in Badarpur.
A police official in Karimganj said that on Sunday, the deceased -- identified as Md. Mazar Ali, aged 15 years, a resident of Khaadiman village in Badarpur -- had gone for swimming in the river Barak and got drowned.
Emergency rescue services, including SDRF, divers, fire brigade and police, rushed to the spot for a rescue operation and after a long haul, the body was recovered in the evening.
Police informed that from preliminary investigation, it was found that the deceased was a resident of Bihar and was working here in blanket craft work.
A case has been registered in this regard.
