AIZAWL, May 1 - A meeting was held by Union Ministry of Minority Affairs Secretary Rakesh Garg with Mizoram Government officials at State Guest House here recently.
Garg said that there are many schemes for the benefit of the people under Ministry of Minority Affairs, adding that despite the Mizoram Government making use of the same, there are still a number of schemes of which the people are unfamiliar.
He accordingly asked the State officials to make more use of the welfare schemes for minorities made by the Union Government.
Various initiatives under Ministry of Minority Affairs, through Prime Minister�s New 15-Point Programme, Multi- Sectoral Development Project (MSDP) and other schemes were discussed in the meeting, sources said.
