TURA, Aug 28 - A minor girl of 16, forcibly confined and sexually abused for 24 days, was rescued by her family recently. The culprit, a 38 year-old woman Jinjin D Shira, was handed over to the police after the family put up an elaborate plan to nab her and rescue their daughter.
According to her own admission, the girl was lured by Jinjin who confined her in a house in the outskirts of Tura. She was then forced to drink and sleep with different men every day since the ordeal started. The victim�s family said that their daughter was taken to different localities and left with different men, who exploited her physically.
After being caught, Shira confessed to her crime and was later handed over to the Tura police. The police have registered a case under section 66A, 342, 368/34 of IPC for wrongful confinement and kidnapping. Shira was produced in the Court and sent to seven days police custody.
