TURA, July 4 - A two-year-old girl, who went with her mother to the bank of the Rongkai river in South West Garo Hills district, is suspected to have been washed away on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Magurmari village under the Zikzak block at 3 pm yesterday. Rescue teams have not been able to trace the girl till the filing of this report. A missing complaint was filed at the Zikzak outpost in this regard.
Incessant rains over the past few days led to a rise in the water level of rivers across the Garo Hills region.
