TURA, March 28 - The body of a minor girl was recovered from a house at Nongalbibra village in South Garo Hills on Friday. It is suspected that she was strangulated to death.
Police recovered the body after local residents informed the Nongalbibra Police Station.
One person has been arrested on suspicion of his involvement in the murder. A police team led by South Garo Hills SP Priyangshu Pandey visited the spot and began an inquiry.
�We have arrested a suspect late last night and he was produced in the court today. We are waiting for the post-mortem report,� the SP said.
