Minister visits Biotech Park

JALUKBARI, June 15 - State Science & Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta today visited the incubation centre of the Guwahati Biotech Park currently located in the IIT Guwahati campus. He also visited the site at Amingoan where the permanent campus will be established.

Mahanta, accompanied by the Commissioner & Secretary, Science and Technology Biswaranjan Samal, inspected different facilities at the incubation centre like ready-to-lease laboratory and equipment.

The Minister also interacted with the start-up entrepreneurs associated with the Guwahati Biotech Park. After visiting the site for the park�s permanent campus, he directed start of work for construction of the incubation centre, followed by setting up of other components of the park like business enterprise zone, etc. He also assured of full government support for establishment of the Guwahati Biotech Park in its permanent campus.

Earlier, Kamrup DC and CEO of the Guwahati Biotech Park Vinod Seshan and other officials of the park apprised Minister Mahanta of the activities and various services offered by the incubation centre.
