IMPHAL, Nov 15 � Manipur Social Welfare Minister Akoijam Mirabai has sought help and cooperation from the people in fighting crimes against women and children in the State.
The Minister Mirabai made the appeal while speaking at Children�s Day celebration cum State Level Painting Competition at Bal Bhavan here yesterday which was organised by Social Welfare department.
A total of 68 cases of crimes against women and children including 16 rape cases have been reported in the first four months of the current year in Manipur, according to Manipur NGO Women Action for Development (WAD).
