DIBRUGARH, Oct 28 - The district�s Childline team in association with the police rescued a two-month-old baby and the mother who appears to have psychiatric disorder, from Santipara area here and admitted them to AMCH here.
The father of the child is not known yet. The mother has been admitted to the Psychiatric Department while the baby is undergoing treatment in the ICU in the Pediatric Department and is recovering.
Once the baby is stable, Childline and the district�s Child Welfare Committee (CWC) will have to decide as to who would bring up the child as the recovery of the mother could take some time and there are no adoption centres around.
