GUWAHATI, March 15 - Contributions of writer Indira Sarma were recalled at a memorial function held at Shantigram Complex at Beltola here yesterday under the presidentship of Dr Ashok Kumar Goswami.
The memorial function organised under the joint auspices of the residents of Shantigram Complex and Beltola Senior Citizens� Association was addressed by senior journalist DN Chakravartty who described Indira Sarma as a talented student, ideal teacher and a prolific writer.
Journalist Rupam Barua, Arun Bhagawati, Putu Barua, paying tributes to Sarma, described her as a compassionate writer and an ideal social activist.
