GUWAHATI, June 19 - Seeking some effective measures to preserve the mighty Brahmaputra, voluntary organization Brahmaputra Management and Development submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal yesterday.
Lauding the Chief Minister for mentioning about the scientific dredging and reclamation of Brahmaputra, the organization asked the CM to examine the �Brahmaputra Development Project� by scientific dredging and reclamation of eroded land, applying emerging global technology.
�A project has been developed by our eminent engineer PK Dutta of POGL Development Group, who is also one of the working president of our committee, after 10 years global research and development, which have been approved by Senior Engineers� Forum of Greater Guwahati to realize your vision by transforming adversities to opportunities for safe, secured and prosperous Assam,� stated the memorandum.
The organization urged the Chief Minister to give it an opportunity to make a power-point presentation to explain the details of the project.
