Meghashree tops the list

NORTH LAKHIMPUR, May 15 - Meghashree Borah of Sankardev Shishu Bidya Niketan, Narayanpur has stood first in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination-2019 whose results were declared today. Meghashree secured 594 marks (99%) out of 600. She got 97 in Assamese, 97 in English, 100 in Mathematics, 100 in Advanced Mathematics, 100 in General Science and 100 in Social Studies. Meghashree is the daughter of late Gokul Bora and Bonti Saikia Bora of Narayanpur�s Badala Satra area.

Her brilliant result was hailed by people of Narayanpur today. Meghashree was taken out in a procession by the people to celebrate her result in the examination. Officials from Board of Secondary Education, Assam visited her school today and felicitated Meghashree for her great success.

Speaking to The Assam Tribune, the Head Acharya of Sankardev Shishu Bidya Niketan, Binod Krishna Sarma said that the school had discovered her talent when she was in Class VIII. �Since then�, he said, �we took care of Meghashree and were confident of her securing one of the top 10 positions�. Her mother, Bonti Saikia Bora, a subject teacher in Economics at Nowboicha HS School attributed the success of Meghashree to her own efforts and sense of duty. Meghashree�s aim is to become a doctor.
