SHILLONG, April 9 - Two young women of Meghalaya, Diana Marak and Mary Cornelia Marak did the State proud by bagging the winner�s and second runners up title at the Mrs India Homemakers 2016 pageant at Delhi on Wednesday.
The first runners up title went to Reema Bhansal of Delhi. The contestants from Meghalaya also did extremely well at the preliminary rounds. Diana Marak bagged the Mrs Beautiful Body sub-title while Mary Cornelia Marak bagged the Mrs Confident sub-title and Eva Sangma bagged the Beautiful Hair sub-title.
Elated over the success, Diana Marak said, �I would like to thank God for this success and I would love to do something for the womenfolk of Meghalaya if given the opportunity.�
Mary said, �I thank God Almighty for making this happen. I also thank all my people of the beautiful State of Meghalaya who have supported me during this pageant. I dedicate this success to God and all the women of the State.�
