SHILLONG, Sept 16 � Meghalaya Power Minister AT Mondal today underlined the need to restrict power loss as the generation has failed to met the growing requirement.
�When generation is unable to keep pace with the requirement, it is imperative for us to restrict the loss in whichever form possible,� Mondal said.
Elaborating on the Energy Conservation Act, Mondal said, �As the energy consumption in buildings is increasing every day, which has been estimated around 149 billion units, energy conservation in the buildings has become a priority area.� � PTI
