SHILLONG, Aug 23 - One more person has died due to COVID-19 and 106 new cases were reported from different parts of the State, taking the active cases to 1,133 in the past 24 hours.�
The death toll in the State has gone up to 8 with an 84-year-old person succumbing to the infection at Tikrikilla, West Garo Hills district.
Meanwhile, out of the total active cases, 64 were reported from East Khasi Hills district, West Garo Hills with 9 and the figure in South Garo Hills stood at 10.
