SHILLONG, Jan 30 � Meghalaya Chief Secretary PBO Warjri and other senior officials today laid wreaths at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Main Secretariat here on his 67th death anniversary.

Two minutes silence was also observed in the State to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle, during which government offices, public and vehicular movement came to a standstill to the sound of the siren. � PTI
