Meghalaya DGP holds meeting with CRPF IG

SHILLONG, Jan 18 - Meghalaya DGP SB Singh today held a high level meeting here with Inspector General of CRPF (North East), Prakash D to discuss the poll preparedness of the State.

Singh assured that all the basic amenities for the Central paramilitary force would be provided as a large contingent are on their way to the State for the polls scheduled to be held on February 27.

Altogether 100 companies of the Central paramilitary force have been provided to the State by Union Home Ministry to ensure a free and fair election.
