SHILLONG, June 4 (PTI) - Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will meet Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi tomorrow in Guwahati to find a solution to the border issue between the two States.
Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh, chief secretary WMS Pariat would be part of the high-level ministerial and official delegation to be led by Sangma, official sources here said.
Union Home Secretary GK Pillai, who met senior officials of Meghalaya government, said, "The two Chief Ministers are meeting tomorrow. I hope the issue would be resolved."
"Earlier, Union Home Minister had visited Assam and discussed the issue with Assam Chief Minister. Today I got the Meghalaya government perspective. Both sides have clarified that they want to resolve the issue through dialogue," Pillai said.
